The festival, which takes place on the third weekend of August, will take you on a journey through time, to discover the Renaissance period, including period costumes, events and traditional dishes.<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1e650631 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1e650631\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>It is a historical re-enactment with significant characters and events from the Renaissance period, the ideal opportunity to combine history and fun in an absolutely unique festival!<\/p>\n<p>For three days Pitigliano goes back in time, once again a Renaissance village, parades in period costumes and many events linked to ancient traditions meet through the streets of the village.<\/p>\n<p>During the County Festival, the Palio dei Rioni also takes place during which the four historic districts of Pitigliano compete against each other: Capisotto, Fratta, Borgonuovo and Capisopra, the winner will be awarded the coveted Palio.<\/p>\n<p>Every day you will find the County Market, the Hostaria del Viandante, the historical procession in Renaissance costumes, entertainment with jugglers, jesters, music, archers and dancers.<\/p>\n<p>Every evening, the Banquet of the Count, in honor of Count Niccol\u00f2 III Orsini, inside the Palazzo Orsini in Pitigliano, a traditional Renaissance-style
